Redemption

Redemption is a third-person RPG centered around a fallen knight as she journeys through a world now changed by the introduction of magic. As this knight, you will experience joy, rage, and triumph on her journey. It will not be easy, but great stories rarely come with no trials and tribulations.

In the rush to upload this version of the project, controls were omitted, so here they are:
WASD - Movement
Space - Jump/Vault
LMB - Attack/Combo Attacks
RMB - Target Enemy
E - Interact

For Download:
When downloading from the Google Drive, the zip it provides to you will not include the file located in Windows/Redemption/Content/Paks (in both the downloaded zip and google drive) named "Redemption-Windows.ucas" which is the largest file (5.5gb) and contains necessary files for running the game. It should automatically download this separately, if not:
Download this separately from the Drive at the above directory and place it in the same directory in the downloaded version to run the game. Sorry for the inconvenience!

We will continue development of the game in a separate publishing, to keep the integrity of the Narrative Design Jam. We'll post that link here once the new build has been released.

Known Bugs:

- In the first level, a cutscene found near the end, necessary to advance, will not be triggered. A restart seems to rectify the issue as all reports have only been on the first attempt to play. No known events cause this to consistently occur.
- In the fourth level (After the ruins) the mages will occasionally breakdance (walk) into space. The game can still proceed with this bug, and the issue is fixable, but will not be done on this current submission until judging for Narrative Design Jam 2023 is finished.
